Facilities
The Club, at both Seaford
and Piddinghoe, boasts clean, comfortable showers and changing rooms, to
which members have access at all times. There is generous boat parking
at both sites and there is limited under cover storage space at Seaford.
The Club uses the berthing at Newhaven Marina for its Keelboat Section
and for the Club powerboats (location).

The Club boasts a strong
cadet section and over 150 youngsters take part each year in courses, our
own Cadet Week and in competitions with cadets from other local clubs.
Our cadets also take courses leading to RYA Stages 1, 2 & 3 as well
as the red and white badges in both racing and seamanship.
Sailing

Dinghy and keelboat sailing,
power-boating and wind surfing are also taught in the Club, which is a
RYA Recognised Teaching Centre. While the majority of the courses
are held on Piddinghoe Pond some are arranged at the sea so that a tidal
endorsement can be issued. Courses are run at: RYA levels 1 to 4 in dinghy
sailing, RYA Levels 1 and 2, Safety Boat and Advanced power-boating and
windsurfing at levels 1 to 5. The Club can also arrange instructor courses
for both dinghy sailing and power-boating.

The Club runs a number of
open meetings annually.
Windsurfing
Members regularly use the
Club facilities to go sailing, either in the sheltered waters of Piddinghoe
Pond or, for the more experienced, in Seaford Bay from the beach by the
club house.
Social
The Club runs a full social
programme throughout the year.
Open
Day
The Club runs an Open Day
in April each year at Piddinghoe Pond where local people and potential
members can experience a day of sailing and meet club members. No sailing
experience is necessary.
